Terms of service

Effective 7 September 2026.

1. Who we are

Locomint (“we”, “us”) provides local business data through a hosted API at api.locomint.io and through actors published on the Apify Store. Locomint is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any map, search or directory provider, and we use no such provider’s name or marks as our own.

2. The service

We fetch publicly visible business listings and public business websites on your request, normalise them into one schema, and return them to you. Data is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee that any record is complete, current or accurate, or that any business or category exists in our results. Public sources change without notice; we publish our own reliability on the status page rather than promising a number.

3. Accounts, keys and Apify

Hosted API keys are personal to you or your organisation; keep them secret and tell us if one leaks. Products bought on the Apify Store are governed additionally by Apify’s terms; Apify handles billing for those products and we never see your payment details.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the data for lawful business purposes, including research, analytics, lead generation and enrichment of your own systems. You may not: (a) use it to send unsolicited communications in breach of the laws that apply to you (for example CAN-SPAM, GDPR, PECR); (b) resell or redistribute raw Locomint output as a competing dataset or API; (c) use it to identify, profile or track private individuals; (d) attempt to overload, reverse-engineer or circumvent limits of the service; (e) use it for anything illegal or harmful.

You are responsible for your downstream use. We supply business contact points; whether and how you contact a business is your decision and your compliance obligation.

5. Personal data

We limit enrichment to business contact points and drop mailboxes that look like a named person. Business owners and businesses can ask to be removed via our removal form; we honour such requests within 7 days across all products. Our privacy policy and data processing agreement describe our handling of personal data in more detail.

6. Fees

Hosted API plans are billed monthly in USD; usage above the included quota is billed at the plan’s overage rate. Apify products are billed per result through Apify. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or where we failed to deliver the service for a sustained period, in which case we credit the affected period.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the service depends on public sources outside our control. We may change, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice, and immediately where required to stay lawful or to protect the service. Rate limits and quotas may be adjusted to keep the service healthy for everyone.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or abuse that threatens the service or its sources, and will tell you why.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Disputes will first be raised in writing to hello@locomint.io; we commit to a good-faith attempt at resolution within 30 days before either party goes further.
